Belles Ferry

Seeing things from another perspective has never been so easy. Just hop onto Belles Ferry at one of its three landings locations and head over to Hutchinson Island. The ferry runs from 7am until 10pm seven days a week and guess what…? It’s free! Fun fact: the ferry is named after Savannah’s “Belles” - strong women who have helped shape the city’s history.

Located just minutes from Savannah’s Historic District, the Botanical Gardens provide a perfect oasis if you want to escape the bustling city life for a little while. Being owned & operated by the Savannah Area Council of Garden Clubs, the mission statement for the Gardens is to not only educate about gardening, but to also serve as an information center, and headquarter for member clubs. The site includes formal & naturalistic plantings as well as a two acre pond, amphitheater, nature trails, archealogical exhibits, and the historic Reinhard house. Admissions is free, and the park is open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week. Really, does it get any better than that?
